The Conference is the main Russian forum for discussing issues related to the physics of the interaction of powerful energy flows with a substance and its practical application. The Conference provides familiarization of specialists with the latest results obtained by the world\'s leading research teams, creates an opportunity to present their results and search for partners for scientific and technical cooperation, the organization of scientific consortia.
The Conference covers a wide range of issues related to the practical application of beam technologies and the mechanisms of their implementation in modern production.
The conference program highlights the main and global trends in the development of laser, electron beam and related technologies. The most interesting results are expected in the field of additive materials science and the development of new materials, digitalization of production processes, as well as when considering examples of introducing advanced production technologies into industry.

<p>After graduating from the institute, he began working at the Department of Welding Theory and Technology of the Faculty of Physics and Metallurgy of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. Since 1991, he moved to the department of “Laser Technologies” of FTIM SPbSPU, headed by corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor V.A. Lopota. Since 2001, he has been working as a professor and deputy head of the joint department of Welding and Laser Technologies. Since 2004 - Deputy Director of the Institute of Laser and Welding Technologies of St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, since 2007 - Director of the Institute of Laser and Welding Technologies of St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University. Since 2009 – Dean of the Faculty of Materials Research Technology, St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University.</p> <p>G.A. Turichin works in the field of theoretical research, modeling and development of technologies for beam processing of materials, and is one of the leading specialists in this field not only in Russia, but also abroad. Under his leadership and with his direct participation, research is being carried out in the field of development of new and promising laser and hybrid technologies, including a technological complex and basic technology for laser-arc welding of large-diameter pipes, software systems have been developed for engineering computer analysis of laser, electron-electronic processes. beam and hybrid welding of various materials.</p> <p>He is the leader of research projects of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, including joint ones with such scientific organizations as the Institute of Materials Science of the University of Hannover (Germany), the Welding Institute of Aachen (Germany), projects of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, as well as projects of the German Scientific Society. During the period from 1994 to 2008, 15 international projects were successfully completed. In 2008, he was awarded a diploma for active participation in RFBR projects.</p> <p>Together with the Bavarian Laser Center (Erlangen, Germany) and with its active support, G.A. Turichin initiated the creation of a joint Russian-German laser center at St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University to promote laser and hybrid technologies in the Russian Federation, in its Northwestern region.</p> <p>G.A. Turichin is a member of three dissertation councils in the specialty 03/05/06, and, as a member of program and organizational committees, takes part in the preparation and conduct of such periodic international scientific and technical conferences as LTWMP, BTLA, LAM. G.A. Turichin reads the main special course “Theoretical foundations of processing materials with concentrated energy flows” for students of the department “Welding and Laser Technology”, conducts scientific work with undergraduate and graduate students, for which he was awarded diplomas and a medal of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.</p>
